[bookport] Question about help File

Hi All,
Just got my Bookport yesterday and I'm loving it. So sorry to bore
experienced users with newbie questions.
Does the User's Manual have to be present in Bookport for the Help
system to work, or is the Help manual hardwired into the firmware?
