First, you have to "rip" the music from the CD using a program like Easy 
CD-DA Extractor or any of a number of similar programs. This will create a 
copy of the music on your desktop PC in MP3 format. Then, you have to either 
use the transfer software to place the MP3 file on the Book Port or, if you 
have a CF card reader attached to your computer, you can just copy the file 
straight to the CF card.
