MessageThe bookport plays DAISY books beautifully. You need to highlight the
ncc file, choose html as the file type and send it from your computer to the
bookport. You must do this using the bookport transfer software. Don't just
copy over the files.

How did you transfer the data to the card?
Did you use the Bookport Transfer software?

Subject: [bookport] Playing daisy books created with Plextalk equipment

Earlier this year I purchased a Plextalk ptr1 talking book recorder because I
have notes on tape I wanted to convert to daisy format. I like the plextalk
machine and the plextalk recording software. The only thing is it is not small
enough to take on the train and the battery life is too short.

I saw the Book Port would play daisy books, it is small so I purchased a
machine. I have updated the firmware to 2300 I put in a card with a book
created on what must be one of the most popular digital talking book recording
devices for end users in the world and the book port refuses to play it. All I
get is a stupid error message saying playing of unfiltered files is not
supported.

I think this is absolutely useless especially as it will play the .mp3 files
that make up the daisy book audio anyway.

  Many thanks
  Anthony
