I really like my BookPort. I recommend other blind people to get the current Book Port. I am not concerned with getting an update BookPort2. 

It is great the way it is.
APH developers set a date and ran into some development problems. They want to get their product to market ASAP, but they cannot. 

Why is the current Book Port not good enough?

   The BP 2 is long overdue?  Already?  LOL  Its only October.
Now yes, perhaps APH blew it by publicizing the BP2 too early. But you know how people are, they want it and they want it now and they will not accept anything less than prmomises of a new product even when its not off the drawing board. The people get upset when its running a tad bit late. Now they want to criticize APH. There is simply no pleasing people is there? When its hot people want it cold but when its cold they want it hot. And so it goes. ;)
