Invest a few dollars in a router and let it offload the firewall work from your computer. I've used a Linksys router for several years and have had zero problems of any kind that could be attributed to firewall protection. You'd still need an antivirus program of some sort running on the PC, itself, and I've used Norton and, now, McAfee with no problems.=20 -----Original Message----- From: bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of peter.rand@xxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, May 20, 2005 6:48 AM To: bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bookport] Re: No new updates for me. profbiz@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx writes:=20 > I use Jaws and have over the years tried many firewalls. The one I have found to be most simple and accessible is OutPost Pro by Agnitum. This has also been my experience. I use the freeware version of the OutPost=20 firewall, and it works very well on my WinXP machine.=20 OutPost can be downloaded from=20 <http://www.agnitum.com/download/outpost1.html>=20 Peter
