Hi,
First, its very cool to see that people are still using these.
Second, you can get bookshare books to work by finding a tool that converts
epub to one of the supported formats such as doc, html, or plain text if you
don't mind losing out on headings. If you can't get anything to work, please
write my current address simon@xxxxxxxxx and I'll see what I can come up with.
I hope this works and am very glad to hear this transfer tool is still working
so many years later.

Subject: [bookport] New to the list with questions

I am a long-time user of many Daisy players including Book Courier.

I recently inherited three book ports from a program at the college where I
work that is defunct.

I have them all working and got the transfer tool downloaded and installed.
It even runs fine under Windows 10, whereas the Book Courier tool stopped
working after XP.

But I can’t figure out how to get bookshare books transferred. It doesn’t
seem to handle the zip files, and when I rename them to the extension of .bks
it still isn’t happy. I updated both the firmware and the transfer tool. It
says no filter is available.

What’s the secret?
