Hello, Agreed here!!!!! And until someone can tell me that my unit does not have this problem, DEF will not be used. The same message also suggested people shouldn't use that command with newer units. That is the history that began this issue. That's why some were suggesting that APH might be able to indicate a range of serial numbers that might have similar experiences in this area, etc. Perhaps the message I saw was written by someone claiming to be Pamela and was not authentic. After all, Email isn't secure, as many of us know. Of course, Larry posted later, denying that there was no issue, seeming to question why anyone thought there was. I have used the DEF command myself numerous times and have had no fatal results. But my unit is not new as it has been out of warranty for some time. It does become hard to know what to think when we see conflicting information that appears to come from those in the best position to advise. Cheers, Dave
