Grate idea. I like the idea of a cradle. What if a USB port can be included.
The BookPort can rest in the cradle and you can charge and transfor files at
the same time.

Motorola uses a similar system to what you guys are thinking about in their
Talkabout radios. You can use off-the-shelf AA batteries or rechargeables.
There is a battery pack comprised
Of three AA size batteries. The charger has two cradles into which you can
drop the radio. There are spring-loaded contacts that poke through very
small
holes in the back of the unit. Or, you can use an insert that's provided
and just charge a battery pack without the radio being present. The charger
has two ports, and two inserts, and the set-up works quite well.

.This is just an idea. But what if the new book port. Had a way to use a
.rechargeable battery pack that can be removed and replaced with regular
.batteries like the old handy cassette?
