[bookport] More on inability to activate my BP

Well, I think I know what's going on, but I'm scared to death as to _why_.
My Book Port is 100% totally dead and replacing the batteries, pressing 2+B,
etc, etc., have had no effect. It was working only 90 minutes ago. I'm sick.
