also, the bookport won't play any mp3 at a variable bit rate. doc wrote:
Walt your problem is not variable rate which i use with no problem. your problem lies in your sampling size. it shows 11000 hertz and that is too small. Even though it may be reccomended for voice that would give only a poor sound quality. i go no lower than 32bit at 22050 hertz. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Walt Smith" <walt@xxxxxxxxxx> To: <bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, December 11, 2006 3:37 PM Subject: [bookport] Re: MP3 that won't playHere's the MPEG information that I can retrieve when playing the file in WinAmp on my computer, if it helps tell anybody anything. I'm not familiar enough with this stuff to get much from this and I don't see anywhere that it says that it's a variable bit rate file--should I expect to see that? Also, I don't think we go below 16 bit. Pamela Rader, TECHNICAL SUPPORT -- No virus found in this incoming message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
