I tried your suggestion however it didn't work. It just played on as = though nothing was pressed. =20 The method which I transferred the file was by copying it from a folder = then opening My Computer scrolling down to the removable drive K: opening it = and pasting it in my book folder. Is this the wrong method to do this? =20 Dave =20 Dave Cunningham (412) 257-8153 Voice (412) 215-4597 Cell dcj638586@xxxxxxxxxxx Email used for MSN as well. =20 Norton Anti-Virus scan's all incoming and outgoing email. -----Original Message----- From: bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx = [mailto:bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Aman Singer Sent: Wednesday, April 07, 2004 9:45 PM To: bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bookport] Re: MP3 question Hi. Try 1, 4, 7, and 7 held down for one beep to go back 2 seconds in an MP3, 15 seconds, 30 seconds, or 60 seconds. 3, 6, 9, and 9 held down = should go forward by the same time periods. The only time I've seen these = commands fail to work is when you transfer the mp3 file using a card reader. I can see a problem with reading = audible file on the player already. my suggestion is to incorporate a fast = forward and reverse into the player. I sometimes have a tendency to miss = something and wish to go back a minute or 2 but at this point I don't think I = would be able to. besides, some like to fast forward through a music file to a = part or possibly go back to relisten to a part. I had a RIO 500 and a RIO = 900 and I could do it with both of them. it would start sort of slow then = speed up. the nice thing was I could hear it going back or forward at a high = rate of speed. I could then stop and it would just start playing at that = point. =20 =20 Dave =20 =20 =20 =20 Dave Cunningham (412) 257-8153 Voice (412) 215-4597 Cell dcj638586@xxxxxxxxxxx Email used for MSN as well. =20 Norton Anti-Virus scan's all incoming and outgoing email. =20
