[bookport] MP3 files from PlexTalk to Compact Flash card

Greetings,
I was asked by someone with a PlexTalk, how to convert an music CD to MP3
on a compact flash card and have it work in the Book Port.
He used the "backup" function on the PlexTalk, but the Book Port said
something about non-filtered files are not accepted. He has Version 2.1 on
the Book Port.
He does not have a computer, so he cannot check the CF card that way.
Any ideas?
