No, Lou, I _am_ getting the beet _regardless_ of the setting of Lock
Beep when the device is locked with keys 1&3.

If I understand this right, Walt must have lost the function of his
external
speaker.  At least, that's all I can figure if he isn't getting the
lock-beep.  As for the nature of the Key lock, that has been discussed
before on the list and APH has never stated whether it's possible to
give us
a complete lock or not. To me, that would be a situation where, when
locked,
no key or key combination would perform any action at all and the unit
would
not wake up unless the 1 and 3 keys were pressed to unlock it. I've
lobbied
for this arrangement a time or two but I'm sure there are more important
needs to be addressed first.  Perhaps this is one of those things that
can
be put on a wish list for some future iteration of the hardware.  I'm
just
grateful the lock beep can be turned off even if the unit still powers
up
when a key is pressed.  Lou
