Don, As my first file began with an "A," I began to think that they had
alphabetized the files, but this would appear not to be the case.
However, like you, I have the bookport manual as the second file.

When I am in the root folder of the book port and hold down the star key
for a beep, it jumps me to the first folder instead of the manual which
is the true first item in the root folder. Is this deliberate or a bug?
