My thought is that you could wear surgical gloves and it wouldn't make any
difference. Over time, I think they just plain wear out. I came to this
conclusion after realizing that it was the buttons that I used the most when
changing some of the settings (particularly the 4 key, as when changing the
pitch) that went first.
