Gary and list: One of the main hardware designers of the Bookport used to refer to it as "pizza finger" syndrome. Not that we're saying that is your problem, but apparently oil from the fingers can eventually build up and thus interfere with the responsiveness of the buttons. Mine is four years and nearly two months old, and so far so good. -----Original Message----- From: bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Gary Wunder Sent: Monday, October 08, 2007 1:57 PM To: bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bookport] Re: Less responsive buttons I was hoping someone would say I could connect it up to a vacuum cleaner and suck out all the dust, but then I think I'll just have to get a second one to have one which I can send for repair. I recently bought a second unit (in excellent condition) as a backup and am now preparing to return the first one for replacement of the entire keypad. ________________________________ From: bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Gary Wunder Sent: Monday, October 08, 2007 11:47 AM To: Bookport Subject: [bookport] Less responsive buttons I find that one of my buttons, the five, is less responsive and either requires a harder push or movement of the key other than vertically when being pressed. Is there any kind of external thing I can do to make this work or is a repair in order? Gary
