Hi Walt, sorry about that.  I didn't hear the "the".  <Grin>  I have a similar 
situation with the 6 button.  It works fine most of the time, and occasionally 
needs a bit more force than do the other buttons.

I've got a BP that seems to be manifesting an intermittent contact failure
on the 1 button. It's only a minor nuisance at the moment, but I'm wondering
if I dare use tuner cleaner to try to clean the contact.
