Hi all. I just downloaded and installed both the software and firmware updates for book port. Here's why the subject is a question. I use Sygate free personal firewall and enjoy the fact that in most cases I don't have problems with it running in the background protecting my computer. However, in order to get the book port transfer software to recognize the updated firmware I had to disable Sygate in order for the firmware to be downloaded and installed thus compromising my computer. Wouldn't the good folks at APH be able to resolve this disconcerting problem? I tried alt-tabbing after launching the updated transfer software and this time Sygate would not gain focus using Window-eyes. Once I disabled Sygate and heard its dire warning, the transfer software opened and spoke as it normally does and should and I could then download and install the firmware. Surely APH could make it possible so that I don't have to disable Sygate every time I update the transfer software, can't they? Mike M -- No virus found in this incoming message.
