Jerry:

If you are using Windows XP/2000, go into My Computer, move to the
drive that represents the Book Port, press Alt+Enter for Properties,
press Ctrl+Tab to move to the Tools page, and select the Check Now...
button. Be sure the options about automatically fixing errors and
recovering bad sectors are unchecked.

If you are using Windows ME, try ScanDisk.

Dear List,
I have a brand new Book Port successfully connected to my PC. I am
prompted
to update my firmware. I am advised, however, to perform a chkdsk on
my
flash card prior to executing the update. What is the procedure or
command
to check the flash disk?

I will appreciate any help. I am looking forward to getting started.

Sincerely,
Jerry Weinger
