I don't think it's possible to fit a speaker of anything much more than
token size into the present physical design and I don't know if the
currently used chip technology would support one, but if it would in any
way require a redesign of the current case, I can't support it.

I feel the most significant improvement to the Book Port would be a
built in
speaker.  This would eliminate the absolute necessity of either an
external
speaker or head set.  This would improve the usability for many task,
but
mostly for short tasks such as recording a quick note or memo.

talking about.
