No, it's no rumor and yes, you must have been on some other world! <grin>
We've been discussing it here and there's even been a Main Menu program on
ACB Radio devoted to it. We know for sure that it'll be about half the
thickness of the current BP; that it'll use a rechargeable battery; that
it'll have more built-in memory for storage of both reading materials and
firmware; and that it'll use the smaller SecureDigital (SD) card rather than
the current CompactFlash (CF) card. Also, we know there will not be any kind
of trade-in program for owners of the current model. As far as any new file
formats, I believe that it's supposed to play the new NLS digital Talking
Books. Pamela has said that they're looking at September or thereabouts as
the time frame for the great unveiling.

I heard something about a new bookport being developed. Maybe, I am just in
another world, but I hadn't heard anything about this till recently. Is
this just a rumor? I love my BP, and I can't imagine life without it.
