Hi Walt and list:
I suspect there are benefits to being a smaller company. For example, when I
called them, an actual human answered the phone. Even more amazingly, the
person who answered understood immediately what I wanted, and gave me the
information that helped me finalise my decision to place an order. That
decision having been made, the same person happily took my order.
I can appreciate that some might find their price a bit high. But as you
say, they don't produce these things in large bulk quantities.
I suppose it was good luck that I was able to contact them around noon my
time and find a human ready willing and able to talk to me. The time here is
18 hours ahead of the eastern United States. Being able to talk to anyone at
a U.S. company at a time that is convenient for me is not the easiest thing
to do.
I'm also impressed with the Email confirmation of my order and shipping that
I've received. I know that such messages are standard from companies now,
but I haven't been around so long that I've forgotten the days of dutifully
emptying the mailbox daily and waiting weeks to find out what people are
saying to me.
Cheers,
Dave
