A review OF Executive Products Case for the Book Port.
Well, my first impression of the new Case from EPI Was ooh, nice leather! As soon as I opened the box I was hit by the wonderful aroma.
The design was well thought out. The case enables you to carry the Book Port in a number of ways, by a shoulder strap, a hand strap or a leather covered belt clip. I was very impress ed by the excellent fit of the case. The leather is soft and supple. The front cover has a pocket which is accessed by a zipper on the right side. It zips from the top down. It also has pleats on the top and bottom to help expand the pocket a bit. It can easily carry two compact flash cards. With the flap closed your CF card is covered for protection. The flap can be folded over to the back side of the Book Port with the edge velcroed to the side also covering the CF card. The headphone jack, USB port and the CF card slot are all easily accessible.
I also like how the inside of the case is lined with soft felt, providing protection for the BP. Nice touch!
The Book Port slides in from the bottom end of the case and is secured by a flap with two snaps. This makes for easy battery replacement.
What I find interesting is when carrying the Book Port with the shoulder strap, it is in the inverted position for easier reading while on the go. I really like this feature! The belt clip is designed to carry the BP in it's upright position. The bottom end of the case has two small d rings attached to either side for quick removal of the shoulder or hand-strap.
Another nice touch is the semi-rigid liner inside the front cover. This greatly reduces the beeping of the keys while in the locked position.
I am so thrilled to have this fantastic case protecting my investment and one of my favorite pieces of technology.
