Dale, don't send the beta through the transfer tool. Copy the file over to the Book Port using its drive letter from within My Computer or Windows Explorer. Once you've transferred the file over and disconnected your Book Port from your PC, simultaneously press 1, 3, star, and pound to initiate the update. You'll wait about ten seconds or so, the Book Port will count to three or four, then will announce that you're running Firmware Test Eight. Good luck, and email the list if you have any trouble. Should you try it tonight and struggle, I'll monitor the list to see if I can help. When I send, I get an error message saying that the "filter type was not found", or something similar. Then, when I disconnect, BP announces that Test 7 is running. Any ideas. My unit is presently not babbling, so it connects fine, and now would be a good time to make the change to the new. Dale
