Subject: [bookport] Flash Card Update

Hello everyone,

I finally resolved my flash card troubles. As some may remember, I bought a Crucial 4 gigabyte flash card only to discover that it froze with the BP. I did receive the caution about using only name brand CF companies and I thought this was one of them. It wasn't and I sent the card back for a refund, which I received. I was specifically and explicitly then told I should only buy a Sandisk or Kingston CF card.

Rather than buy another four gigabyte card, which I have read are more fragile than smaller cards and only just recently was supported by the BP, I decided to go with the less pricy, more stable and highly suggested two gigabyte card. To ensure that I obtained a Type I card rather than a type II or ultra card (which are not recommended), I went to the Sandisk website and found the exact model number of the two gigabyte card I wanted. I then copied this lengthy model number to my clipboard and did a web search using Google. A pre-configured PriceGrabber search was one of the results. PriceGrabber is a comparison shopping service and it turned out to be more aggressive at finding the lowest price when compared to DealRam.com. I found a Sandisk two gigabyte CF card from an online entrepreneur who only takes PayPal with a hard to find e-mail address for $35. With shipping, my total cost was $40. Today I received the card through the regular mail and it works in my Book Port great with no problems. I have already added several files and will likely add more tonight.

I appreciate all the help provided to steer me to this successful conclusion.

Kelly
