Hi Judy.
OK, let's start with one step at a time.
First, I assume you are interested in the release software and firmware
and not the betas.
Open Book Port Transfer and press Alt+a to check your version number.
If it is not 2.1.0.0, press OK to close the About box and press Alt+O to
get to Options.
Press Ctrl+Tab twice to get to the Advanced tax, then tax to the Update
Software button and press it.
Answer Yes to the question about updating. Please note the version
numbers on the old and the new software in this box and write them
down.
If you get any kind of error or status messages, please write the exact
text of that.
Once you get the new software, connect your Book Port, and let's try
the same thing for the firmware update.

I apologize for asking yet again, but after reading dozens of messages
on
the subject, I still don't know how to obtain the newest firmware and
software updates. Like so many on this list, I'm invited to download
updates, spend minutes supposedly downloading only to realize I still
haven't accomplished the job. The firmware I keep winding up with is
the
one I started with: version 01.02.00. Because I realize the subject has
been dealt with exhaustively, it's s fine to answer me offlist.
