No joy there, either, David. I've swapped several different sets of new
batteries that I tested in another device (a portable radio) and verified
were working.

Hi Walt and list:
I think I can give you a little hope. I got a similar error message the
other day. But taking the batteries out and putting them back in again
seemed to have a CPR effect. Good luck.
