I whole-heartedly agree that reading the manual while your waiting for your Book Port to arrive is a great way to begin. I did just that, and was able to do many basic things within seconds after I got the unit out of the box. Putting the batteries in, adjusting the speech rate and volume, and setting the date and time were quite easy, since I'd imagined doing so over and over, while my new Book Port made its journey to its eager owner.

This list is wonderful! Ask, should you have questions.

And think of it this way: You're already one day closer to having your Book Port!
