Sound Forge is a program for recording professionals that would do a nice 
job, but who would want to spend that kind of money just to normalize audio 
books for the BP?  If you won the lottery, I guess you might!  If you are a 
recording engineer, that's different.

I played around a little with an older version of Goldwave, and I wasn't 
that impressed.  Maybe it has improved.
