I've used shure's $100 Sony, $50, and some really cheap ones.  I like the
inner ear buds because they block out sound without having to spend money on
noise cancelation.  To make sure you get a good fit, they often come in
three sizes.  for the money, the sonny buds were the best. They also had an
extension cord you could unhook to make them shorter.

Yes the convex part of the ear bud rest in the ear.   the rounded part.
 On another note, a good suggestion if your in the market for another head
set is the Bose ear pieces.  They are pricey, but worth it.

Hi BP users
This may be a dumb question, but here is goes.
Is their a proper way to put the ear buds in the ear?  They seem a little
too big.
 
I like the extreme portability of the ear buds and the sound quality is
better than expected.
