Yes, the 4x6 slates nearly always are hinged, but I've even seen the 3x5
slates with hinges. I've also seen the smaller ones constructed as the
so-called Jiffy slates, but have never seen the 4x6 slates in this
design.=20

It isn't.  The info says the recipe card slate will definitely hold Dyno

tape.  It is a 7 line, 23 cell  slate for 4 by 6 cards.
