Yes, depending on how many files there are, moving them to the root might 
fail because of the limit on the number of files that can be placed into the 
root directory. This is a perfect example of why a CF card reader/burner 
that attaches to the PC is an excellent investment. With one of these, this 
would be a very quick and easy task to perform--much more efficient and 
faster than moving and deleting on the BP.

Hi there! couldn't you temporarily move all files to the route directory,
thereby empting the folders so that you could delete them? It would take
some time, but that would probably work. A slightly safer way might be to
create 1 folder to move all the music to and then as you move the music
files into the new folder, you can delete the old folders once they're
empty. Again, this method would take a while, but it should end up
accomplishing the task you're trying to accomplish.
