Using Book Port with the latest rom revision.
There seems to be a problem with my new 2gb Compact Flash Card and
hoping someone can help. The card was advertised as a
SanDisk Ultra II Compact Flash CF Card 2G 2GB
The card formatted without a problem and Windows Explorer,
properties, shows it as having a little under 2gb free and available.
The problem arises when trying to transfer more than about 150 mb
to the card. The result is the same either when using the transfer
programme or just Windows Explorer. Also the result is the same
when the large mp3 files are copied separately or part of a batch.
If, say, a 85 mb mp3 file is copied, sent to or transferred to the
BP, there is no problem and the file plays normally. However, if
an attempt is made to send another file of similar size or larger
thenthe the following occurs when the second file is at around 40
to 50 percent done.
Firstly the computer seems to lock up briefly then the following is
displayed:
FF MP3 Flash card is full.

count written: 0
Windows says something like:
Windows delayed write failed. Windows was unable to save all the
data for the file. The data has been lost.
This error may have ben caused by a failure of your computer
hardware or network connection.
This failure causes the BP to lock up and a battery needs to be
removed and inserted before it will function again. If the card is
removed and slowly inserted, the BP says the following:
Memory card ID bad. FS can't flush FAT. File system initialization error.
The card needs to be formatted before the BP can be used again.
The same 2 mp3 files using the transfer methods mentioned above,
were copied successfully when using the 256 mb card supplied with the BP.
Is the 2gb card faulty or is there something else that can be tried?
