Hi APH staff: As Robert Carter reported, the (+#, or both space keys, command when editing is tacking the amound of free memory onto the position information at the end. Also, when deleting by word, the space or line end character after the deleted word isn't deleted, thus making it impossible to delete multiple words via repeated use of the delete word function. It requires the user to delete a word, delete whatever character or characters preceed the beginning of the next word, then return back to the delete word command. If one begins a file, writes a few characters which don't include a line end character, then attempts to read the current line with 8+0, the file is reported as being empty, when in fact the entered text is still there. Deleting by word only works using the #, or left space, key. Combination #+6 works to delete a word, while combination 9+6 doesn't, probably because it conflicts with the navigation command which uses the same keys. In the manual, there is mention of finding the previous and next occurances of a search term with space+7 and space+8. How does one enter text into the find buffer from the editor, or is one supposed to exit the editor, enter the text into the find buffer, then re-enter the editor to use the space+7 and space+8 commands? Sorry for not using the names of the arrows as Larry requested of me earlier. I cannot remember the order of the arrows on the second row, though I use them all the time. Hope this info is helpful, and feel free to fire away with questions if you need clarification of any of these reported behaviors. Jeremiah
