[bookport] Bug when compressing mp3 file

OK, it's my turn to have a "twilight zone" experience with my otherwise
wonderful Bookport ...
I tried to send an mp3 that I created with my Soni ICD P-28 recorder to the
Bookport. I tried twice with compression rates of 1.8 and 1.7. Each time, the
transfer
software started to send the file but apparently aborted before it was
complete. At that point, Bookport Transfer closed itself.
I sent the same file without compression, and it worked fine.
could the format of the file have been a problem? It's a 48K mono mp3 file.
Has this happened to anyone else?
