Hi Gary and list: My reaction to the article is about the same as yours. The bottom line, I think, is that they are called noise cancelling headphones, and they clearly perform as advertised. Now what's wrong with that? Doesn't it make up for some of the products that don't achieve this? Cheers, Dave
