hi sandy,

Yes I am sure I wasn't in an empty folder, there were no folders on it at
the time except for the notes folder. And the card is the one that came
with the BP.

Thanks,

Rick

Are you sure you lost those files? It is easy for someone who is new to
get stuck in a folder that has 0 files in it. When you do that, you think
you have lost files. I know. I did that myself a couple of days after I
got the BP. Someone on list helped me get unstuck. Also, sometimes you
have a bad card. Formatting doesn't do any good.

For your other question. Windows sees almost everything as a drive. I
wouldn't call my Ipod Shuffle a drive, but Windows does. As I said before,
if you feel safer by using the "safely remove hardware" command, that's
fine. I just bought a USB 200GB hard drive that I'll have to use that
command for. I'm mentioning this, because I need to remind myself to do it.

Enjoy your new Bookport! Mine is like the proverbial American Express
card. I never leave home without it!

11For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD. "They
are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
12In those days when you pray, I will listen. 13If you look for me in
earnest,
you will find me when you seek me. 14I will be found by you," says the
LORD...
