Book Port also can't handle DRM under any other format. The only reason
that the BP can handle Audible books is that they are converted by the
transfer software.

Possibly these magazines are not DRM-protected. When NLS comes out with its digital books program, they will most certainly be DRM-protected. The Book Port can't handle DRM, so the current BP unit will not support NLS digital boks. Who knows about any future incarnation of the BP, if there is one.
