Problem: When a book is deleted from the list of books to be sent in the Bookport Transfer program, even though Bookport Transfer shows the books as being deleted, several files related to the original book remain when viewed from Windows Explorer. 0. I have several DAISY formatted books from Bookshare in a directory from which I transfer files to the Bookport. 1. Within Bookport Transfer, tab to the list of files to be transferred. 2. Highlight one or more of the books in the list. 3. Hit the delete key to delete these books. You will be asked to confirm if you really want to delete these books. 4. Confirm that you want to delete by hitting enter. The desired books will no longer appear in the list of books to be sent to the Bookport. 5. Close Bookport Transfer. 6. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the folder containing the books which you wanted to copy to the Bookport. In this folder you will see several files with various extensions which refer to books that have, presumably, been deleted. These file extensions include: NCX SMIL XML Thus, the delete function in the Bookport Transfer program is not properly cleaning out these additional files associated with the DAISY formatted books. They can only be deleted by using Windows Explorer. I would expect the Bookport Transfer program to properly clean these out when books are deleted and no longer show up in the list of books to be transferred. -- Pete
