Pamela, then, let me ask before I confuse myself. Okay, notetaking is a possibility for later on and Serotek support is a possibility for later on. Will these things be firmware upgrades? In other words, if we want these things, we can go ahead and buy the Bookport Plus and then download those updates when they are available? Hope taht made sense. (smile).

Hi Mark:It is never my intension to talk down to anyone, so I'm sorry if I made you feel that way.It is our goal for the Book Port + to do everything that the current Book Port does, plus more. However, because of time limitations on the release date, there are some things that haven't been implemented. That doesn't mean it is not important to us, it just means we were unable to get it done within the time frame in which we have to work in.Speaking of which: Margo, I have asked about the Serotek support and I've been told by Larry that it is being worked on and planned for. However, it will not be in the initial release. Sorry. I have no control over that.Pamela -----Original Message-----From: bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Mark BlierSent: Tuesday, February 02, 2010 10:55 AM To: bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bookport] Re: Bookport Plus and Braille Notetaking Hi, All,When I brought up the lack of a notetaking function in previous postings, I got the feeling that I was talked down to, so I may probably be looking at some other vendor for my needs. In this day of small markets, APH cannot afford to lose customers, but it looks like this is what will happen.Mark Blier <-->----- Original Message ----- From: "Richard.Petty" <richard.petty@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, February 02, 2010 6:50 AM Subject: [bookport] Bookport Plus and Braille NotetakingI've listened to the interview and reviewed the documentation. I didn't findanything about using the device as a Braille notetaker. That's something I still use my Bookport for. It doesn't seem the keypad configuration will support this very well, even if the feature is planned. Has anyone read or heard anything on this?
