I'll tell you a funny BookPort story. My husband, Gary, bought one at the
same time I did. Now, when we first got married ten years ago, he told me
he'd never get into audio books, for he loved seeing the words, etc. Well,
before i got a BookPort, I convinced him of the joys of Audible, and he got
an Audible Otis. So, we had 2 Otis characters living in the house. but,
every 12 hours, a a a batteries had to be changed so we were top customers
at batterymart.com.

Last summer at ACB, I told Gary I wanted to find APH to see the BookPort. I
so enjoyed Fred Gissoni, who let me come by for 3 days in a row to see the
thing. Gary sat passively off to the side while I hemmed and hawed over
buying the thing. Finally, I decided to go for it and buy it. Well, he
took a good look at it, and he bought his there as well. Now, I feel like I
live alone most of the day because he who never thought he'd care for audio
books, does all his work hidden beneath headphones attached to his bookport.
I mean, when it's his turn in the kitchen he's got the thing on his belt;
when he's doing paperwork for our business, he's got the thing on his belt.
When we travel for business, it is he who says to me, "Don't forget your
BookPort." And, at the end of each day, we both fall asleep reading our
respective books on our BookPorts. I think he uses it more than I. His
biggest problem was learning to use it, for the keys have no labels. I
teased him mercilessly, but he knows all of what he needs to know. So,
there is hope for sighted people, SMILE!

The BookPort is the greatest thing since sliced bread, and I'm delighted
that in this household, it's a family affair!
