I think the general consensus is that referring to Bookport 2 means the new
bookport as opposed to version 1 which we all now possess.

Actually Book Port 2.0 software hass been out a couple of years or more.
I
think it is up to 2.4 for recently purchased units, but 2.3 for the
general
public. My understanding, and someone can correct me if I am wrong, 2.4
was
a bug fix release and was not generally needed by everybody.
