[bookport] Book Port not recognized on work computer

Hi All,

I had to uninstall and reinstall the transfer software last week. I 
installed it from scratch and then updated it with the latest beta. I am 
suspecting that the book port is not being recognized probably because of a 
conflict with a network drive. I see the information in the manual about 
reassigning drive letters in xp but don't know how to determine which drive 
letter is in conflict. When I plug in the book port, I hear the windows 
sound indicating that a usb device has been connected. The book port 
transfer software does not start. If I start the software manually, it says 
book port not connected. How is the best way to troubleshoot this? The book 
port is connecting just fine on my home computer so I am sure that it is 
something specific to this work machine.
