Hi.
        I, too, would like this. I use rechargeables exclusively, and would
like to know how much power I have left on them and to make sure that the BP
doesn't do anything unpredictable when they run low.

I'm with Walt and Pete here too - I use high-capacity NiMH batteries in 
the Book Port, and
having an accurate battery reading would be a big plus.
