Hi Larry,
I have been gone for a few days, but my brief read through the messages, I
have not seen this explained any further.
According to my observations, the drainage only happens while the unit is
locked.
I put new batteries in on Tuesday. Wednesday morning it went from 100% to 83%.
I loaded the latest beta, which i believe ends in 21.
Thursday morning, with no further use other than down loading the firmware
Wednesday morning, the battery level was at 66%.
I read some with it on Thursday, and locked it again for a few hours. It
was down to 55%. I then unlocked it and left it sit for 24 hours. The
battery level did not change. I then locked it again and about 8 hours
later, I was told to change the batteries.
So, whatever it is doing, it seems to only do it while it is locked.
