Hi Peter and list:
Yes, a difference of 130 Volts, give or take a few. Some other standard
devices also manage this flexibility. I believe the Braille note and and Pac
Mate are two qualifying examples.
Now to bring this back on topic, the book port operates on the same two AA
batteries and never has to even question which country you may be in. Now
that's service!
