Hi Rik and list:
My firmware version is curretnly 2.1.0.8, and I did as you suggested,
reformatting the card while in the Bookport. When I connected it then to the
USB, a modern miracle took place. Those sweet tones chimed the pretty
little tune, and the BP Launcher started up and the status says 3.8 GB. So
I guess I am now good to go.
Thank you very kindly for the help!
Rik

Hi Rick and list:
Since you haven't formatted the new card, try formatting it in the book
port. To do this, press the four corner keys, 1, 3, D and F simultaneously.
Press all four again to confirm. Then the card is ready for loading data.

Oh my oh please tell me I did not just do a bad thing!
I just bought a SanDisk 4 GB flash memory card to use on my Bookport.
When I put it in, Bookport says firmware number and ready like normal. Then it says there are no files.
So I hook it up to USB port figuring it will launch and load the software.
I think that is how it has worked before. I have about 4 or 5 other cards
by now and they have all worked fine. But this one is the biggest size
being 4 Gigs. The 2 I have has worked.
My battery level is 43 percent. The time setting still works.
Can anyone tell me what to do? Am I gonna be sorry I bought the 4 GB?
Can you jump start it by putting the software in bookport using Windows Explorer? If so, which file is it? I am not going to do anything that will risk messing up my good time with the Bookport!
Thanks. Rik
