I have been reading an audio book also and put new batteries in on 11/13/07,
they are at 50% today and I have finished one book and started on another.
Batteries are doing just fine.

That's interesting.  I've been reading an audio book with the bookport for
the past few days, and I notice no difference in the longevity of the
battery.

I seem to experience a big difference in battery life with text vs.
audio books on the bookport. Sharon
