[bookport] Another dead bookPort

Hello Folks.
While I doubt anyone will have a remedy other than use of the mails to
return my unit, I thought I'd ask anyway.
I've had my bookPort for nearly two years, the unit performing flawlessly. I
saw all the reports of problems but jumped over them, thinking: it just
won't happen to me. Well, needless to say, it did. Putting in a new set of
fresh batteries, no sound, no sound at all. Running firmware 2.0, batteries
good, pulled CF card in and out, did everything, then, of a sudden, it came
back to life, only to go into goto page number mode while resetting
parameters, then dying on reset.
I suspect I'll have to send it in but if anyone has any suggestions, do send
them along please.
