Well, maybe more time options in the 'sleep' setting would do?

Maybe not; you'd have to be listening to a program to know when it turns itself off.

I like that idea Don.  I usually listen to the Book Port while I am on my
exercise bike and need to grab a separate talking timer to notify me when
the time is up.
